Online Communities (Market research online communities)
An online market research community (MROC) can be seen as a longer-term version of an online bulletin board. Whereas an online bulletin board is usually created for a specific purpose and lasts only a few days, an MROC can be created for multiple purposes, and the community can remain active for weeks, months or even years.
Typically, participants in this methodology are users, or potential users, of the customer’s products and services. MROCs enable us to maintain detailed customer profiles, and it is also possible to reward them in a way that encourages long-term participation.
This methodology is ideal for gathering timely information from members in a relatively short space of time. Like online bulletin boards, MROCs are also flexible: participants can provide detailed information at their own pace, spontaneously contribute content on relevant topics and interact with other members. They can also share images, blog posts, video clips and other files.
Depending on the customer’s time, budget and information needs, this approach is highly customizable. We can set up MROCs with any number of participants, from a few to several hundred. We also offer a complementary recruitment service for existing MROCs.
